Dr. Ivana Yi

Dr. Yi is a Board-Certified Periodontist with extensive training in periodontal disease treatment, dental implant surgery, and complex rehabilitation. With a diverse academic background in Mechanical Engineering and Cellular Biology from UC Berkeley, Dr. Yi transitioned to dentistry to combine her engineering expertise with a passion for patient care. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of California, San Francisco, where she cultivated her interest in the field of periodontics.

Following dental school, Dr. Yi pursued specialized training in Periodontics at the rigorous residency program at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center /UCLA Medical Center. This unique experience allowed her to treat veterans and gain invaluable insight into managing patients with complex medical conditions. Her residency included advanced training in implant placement, gum and bone grafting, periodontal disease treatment, and intravenous conscious sedation, providing the most comfortable care.

As a periodontist, Dr. Yi is committed to using the latest techniques and technology to provide patients with the most effective, minimally invasive care possible. Her approach focuses on restoring and maintaining optimal dental health through personalized treatment plans that address the individual needs of each patient.

When not treating patients, Dr. Yi enjoys staying active through fitness and running. An avid outdoors enthusiast, she loves hiking, camping, and backpacking in the mountains, and looks forward to skiing and snowboarding during the winter months.
